Auto-bailout

For the first time in my life, I called my Congressman's office to ask him to oppose a piece of potential legislation. I begged and pleaded with his intern that answered the phone to please, please, please vote against any bailout of GM, Ford and Chrysler. The mere thought of it makes me sick. The reason that all three American car manufacturers are ailing is their labor cost and benefits costs. Their own managerial incompetence, coupled with union greed has put them in this position. It is essential that Congress reject any attempt to reward these companies' bad behavior. To do otherwise would be like giving an addict more heroine. Please stop the madness before it begins.
