Seeing the Plants

The two boys and I had a terrific afternoon amid the blustery outdoor conditions as we went into Chicago to the Garfield Park Conservatory to walk through the huge public greenhouse. What a great way to spend a couple of hours. John even found a way to make friends despite the fact that he was jumping in puddles and splashing water all around the greenhouse. He disarmed each of the unfortunate victims of his splashing by telling them, "I'm watering the plants." Leo even got in on the act.
